There are a number of tenders and grants that have opened in July.
The SA Government Department of Human Services (DHS) has released a tender for Personal Support Workers across metropolitan Adelaide, Mount Gambier and Kadina (Tender No. DHS045542). Tender documents can be downloaded at the SA Government Tenders website. The tender closes on 16 August 2019.
SA Water has released a huge EOI for the first stage of its procurement for Field Services and Production and Treatment packages of works. This is the beginning of a multi-stage procurement process. The EOI closes 1 August 2019. Tender documents can be downloaded at the SA Government Tenders website.
Super SA has released a tender for MedioLegal Assessment Services. Super SA provides administration services to the SA Superannuation Board. This tender closes 26 July 2019 and more information is available at the SA Government Tenders website.
In South Australia, the majority of large tenders (including all Local Government tenders) are posted either on the SA Tenders website (www.tenders.sa.gov.au) or on the ICN Gateway (https://gateway.icn.org.au/). To be advised of upcoming bids, register with these sites and create your own alerts that are relevant to your business.
The Sunshine Coast Council has released a major tender for the supply of contingent labour (labour hire) across a range of categories, including civil construction, customer service, and IT. This opportunity closes on 23 July 2019 and documents can be downloaded at the QTenders site.
Queensland Rail is establishing a panel for Specialist Accessibility and Compliance Consultancy. The Panel of specialist consultants will advise Queensland Rail on matters related to disability access and inclusion. The tender will close on 31 July 2019 and can be accessed at the QTenders website.
The Department of Housing and Public Works has released the Dignity First fund, a $2.5 million funding round for innovative projects to reduce homelessness in Queensland. Applications close 16 August 2019 and can be accessed at https://hpw.smartygrants.com.au/DignityFirstFund2019
In Queensland, most large tenders can be accessed via the Queensland Government tenders website (QTenders). However, some Local Government tenders are only accessible at the LG Tenderbox, which requires a subscription, or via their own Purchasing Portals (for example, Brisbane City Council’s Supplier Portal).
The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) has released a tender for the provision of disability support services for TAC clients who will reside in Residential Independence Pty Ltd (RIPL) in Geelong. Melbourne Health is seeking professional cleaning services for its Northwest Mental Health facilities. Tenders should be submitted by 1 August 2019 and documents can be downloaded here.
The Library Board of Victoria is seeking EOIs from professional cleaning services to provide cleaning at their Swanston Street site. Tenders close 22 July 2019. Documents can be accessed here.
Most Government tenders in Victoria are published at the Buying for Victoria website. However many Local Government and other large purchasers such as Universities and for profit entities, use private purchasing portals like Tenderlink or Aconex. Check each LGA for more information about how they manage their purchasing.
New South Wales
New South Wales Government is the largest Government purchaser outside of the Commonwealth. It’s purchasing power is enormous and it is difficult to keep up with the number and scale of tenders released weekly. Here are just a few released in the past ten days:
Roads and Maritime Services NSW has released a tender for a Comprehensive Services Panel to provide composite professional technical services to this entity. Services that Roads and Maritime Services are seeking include: strategic, concept road and bridge designs, detailed road and bridge designs, management and coordination of bridge, environment, urban design, landscape, traffic engineering, drainage and road safety aspects, and various specialist sub-consultant contracts as required, to deliver complete motorway and major road projects. NSW Health is seeking submissions from qualified agencies to design and conduct a statewide workplace cycling challenge (the Get Healthy at Work Cycle Challenge). Submissions close on 23 July 2019 and details may be accessed here.
WA Police has released a tender for an Auctioneer to run their police auctions for unclaimed and confiscated property. Tenders close 23 July 2019. Tender documents can be accessed from the WA Tenders website.
South West Development Commission is seeking suitably qualified consultants to bid for a community consultation tender in South West WA. More information can be found here.
Most Government tenders in Western Australia are released through the WA Tenders site. Private companies often release theirs through proprietary portals.
The Department of the Attorney-General and Justice NT has released a tender seeking Actuarial Services. This is a 4.5 year contract. The tender closes 13 August 2019. Documents can be downloaded from the NT Quotations and Tenders website.
The NT Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics is seeking a qualified and experienced organisation to supply Repairs and Cyclical Maintenance of Plumbing and Hydraulic Services to Northern Territory Government Assets. This is a contract for 36 months. The tender closes 6 August 2019 and can be downloaded here.
